IWG To Host 2018 Women Sport Leadership Academy (WSLA)

IWG on the 13th of October 2016 met with Anita White foundation representative Mr Jordan Matthews who was in the country attending the Africa Conference. The meeting discussed plans for the 2018 Women and Sport Leadership Academy which will be held in Botswana. The Academy which has traditionally been held in Chichester, UK will for the first time be held in Africa in 2018 in an effort to benefit and ensure participation of women in Africa.  Though dates have not been confirmed, the academy will take place in the build up to the 7th World conference on Women and Sport to be held from 17-20 May 2018. The academy aims to attract more women from the Africa region to take part. The event forms part of the 2016 MOU signed between the IWG and Anita White Foundation.
